SUFFERING AND TRANSFORMATION
The intent of this class is to explore what we suffer, how we suffer, how we make suffering worse and how we can make it better.
Throughout the six week course the participant will write about his/her experience of suffering and reflect on the teachings of Father Thomas Keating as well as those of Paul David Tripp, author of the book Suffering: Gospel Hope When Life Doesn’t Make Sense.
Using these teachings we will discover ways that the suffering we experience can lead to transformation. The class will also guide us in looking at new ways of applying the prayer practices that have become part of our contemplative way of life.
