MORNING RITUAL FOR A CONTEMPLATIVE PRACTICE
We all have a morning routine that focuses on the tasks we need to do before we head out the door for the day. Creating a Morning Ritual allows us to develop a framework to bring together the holy and the ordinary.
The purpose of such ritual for a contemplative is to design a setting for Centering Prayer. It has the added values of keeping us out of our heads, away from our to-do list and in a heart space that is ready to enter into silence, stillness and prayer.
This workshop will include a Morning Ritual Experience, input on the elements of creating your own ritual and time to put it in writing. The workshop is about finding practical and creative ways to invite the Divine Presence into the routine of our daily lives. Christina has it on good authority that God agrees to meet us in the midst of our routine.
