THE KISS OF GOD: AN INTERSPIRITUAL DIALOGUE

FATHER THOMAS KEATING AND RABBI SCHACTER SHALOM

Fr Thomas Keating and Rabbi Zalman Schachter Shalomi3

Two of the world’s great spiritual elders, Father Thomas Keating, a Trappist monk and founder of Contemplative Outreach, and Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, a Hasidic rabbi and founder of the Jewish Renewal and Spiritual Eldering movements came together in 2005 for an intimate “dialogue of devoutness.”

By eavesdropping in on a recording of this meeting, you will catch a glimpse of a dialogue between a priest and a rabbi, a Catholic Christian and a Hasidic Jew, and most importantly, a dialogue between friends and lovers of God. Join them as they discuss a broad range of topics ranging from “the mouth to mouth Kiss of God” to speculations about science and the consciousness of matter.
